International Relations

Objectives
The Department of International Relations offers two specialized programs: Politics – Diplomacy and Public Relations, both of which are taught in English.
Our graduates will be equipped with:
  • Knowledge of politics, diplomacy; cultural, economic, and social issues; media; public relations; diplomatic protocol; external relations; event management; crisis management; press release writing; establishing and maintaining relations with public, etc.
  • Series of skills to work effectively, including information exploitation; presentation; report writing; letter, document, contract, and agreement composing, etc.
  • Have relevant knowledge and the competencies to gain more access to the vibrant and labor market integration nowadays, especially at diplomatic agencies, consulates and embassies or public relations department of domestic and international companies.
What differ us from the others?
  • Specialized courses are taught in English
  • Students are trained and have opportunities to practice English throughout the time studying at DIR. They also have chance to study materials in English and to continuously use English during classes, discussions, and presentations help to formulate students’ language skills, which will serve as a tool that help  students to access to more sources of knowledge in the future. In addition, it also helps students gain confidence to integrate into international working environment.
  • Students study through projects and community activities.
  • Our program is designed help students to develop themselves by having interactions and experiences gained from the whole process of learning through projects, community activities, event management, diplomatic protocol, etc. We strongly believe that with these experiences alongside with the set of soft skills, students are able to integrate better into the working environment in Vietnam and foreign countries.
Job opportunities
The Department’s graduates are able to:
  • Work in media and public relations agencies; external relations departments at domestic and foreign companies, organizations, banks, universities, etc.
  • Work as editors, correspondents, and scriptwriters at press agencies.
  • Work as event executives, or PR executives.
  • Work at consulate, embassy, ministry of foreign affairs, etc.
  • Continue his/her studying to Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree
